This is because he has all the symptoms which are common for this type of anemia. These symptoms include shortness of breath and low levels of energy and enthusiasm which becomes worse during menses. This type of anemia is caused by iron deficiency due to low iron absorption as compared to usage in the body.Some of the factors that lead to deficiency of iron in the body of Ms. A include chronic loss of blood, high usage of iron in the body and low iron absorption. Chronic loss of blood is caused by abnormal menstruation due to peptic ulcers, infestation of worms and gastritis (Kasper, 2005). Iron deficiency anemia in Ms. A is most likely caused by menorrhagia since she has been having complications during her menses. An increase in the usage of iron in the body can be brought about by growing foetus among pregnant women. Reduced iron absorption on the other hand is caused by factors such as malabsorption, chronic diarrhea and lack of stomach acid.Lack of iron in the diet of affected people can also contribute to iron deficiency. Ms. A should ensure that she consumes iron rich diets so that she can improve her health. Some of the iron rich food which she should take include red meat, beat roots, and beans. She can also take iron supplements as recommended by the doctor such as intravenous iron and ferrous gluconate. This iron is directly absorbed into the bloodstream in the duodenum and ileum. People suffering from anemia are mostly diagnosed with disorders in their intestines, and this hinders the absorption of iron from ingested food (Grice et al, 2008). Such disorders lead to severe anemia, which can be treated through surgical procedures.Iron deficiency in the body goes hand in hand with anemia. It is more prevalent in men than in women as shown by research. This disease develops slowly over a couple of years being unrecognize d until a later stage. The good thing with iron deficiency anemia is that it can be easily corrected by supplementing iron in the body which is one of the remedies to Ms. Aà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s situation.Iron deficiency anemia is transferred directly to unborn babies since pregnant women are the source of iron to them. This disease is more severe in infants than in grown-up people, hence it is advisable that ladies such as Ms A who are still giving birth should be mindful of their situations in order for them to give birth to healthy children. What makes infants to easily succumb to iron deficiency is due to the reason that they do not easily respond to iron supplements as compared to adults (Kasper, 2005).
